Welcome to PerthSEC Call for Speakers

The Australian Information Security Association (AISA) is pleased to invite industry professionals, leaders and members to submit their application to present at Western Australia's leading cyber security conference, PerthSEC. The conference will be held Wednesday 18 November at the Westin Perth.  This one-day conference is run and hosted by members, for members and industry colleagues of the WA information and cyber security community. We are now calling upon the community to share your experience and knowledge at this year’s conference by submitting a presentation proposal.

Conference Theme

Year of the Fire Horse: Cyber & Quantum Readiness

The Year of the Fire Horse comes around only once every 60 years and represents bold action, rapid change and challenging the status quo. It's a fitting theme for today's cyber landscape, where our industry must respond to today's threats while preparing for what's next. We're looking for speakers to share practical lessons, technical expertise and strategic insights across the full spectrum of cyber. From stories and lessons learned in the trenches on identity, resilience and incident response, to the rise of AI, post-quantum cryptography (PQC) readiness and emerging technologies, we want sessions that help our community navigate today's challenges while preparing for tomorrow's.

Inspire, challenge and equip others with ideas they can put into practice. Be bold. Share your expertise. Help shape Australia's cyber future.

Submission Process

All submissions will be reviewed by the Western Australian committee and will have to adhere to the same criteria we apply for all our conferences – the presentation must be vendor neutral and cannot be product focused.  AISA advocates against the practice of disparaging other companies, products or services through negative naming. AISA encourages applications from individuals of all genders, ethnicities and backgrounds, especially welcoming the new voices.

During the call for speakers process, applicants will be able to select which style of presentation they wish to be considered for via a tick box. You will also be able to select a presentation theme from the topics listed.   During the review process, if the PerthSEC Program Committee believes that your presentation may suit a different style or theme, they will make contact with you.  Submitted applications will be reviewed by the program commitee at the conclusion of the call for speakers submission period.  Notification of your submission acceptance is expected in toward the end of September 2026. If you have any questions regarding the PerthSEC call for speakers, please email kylie.hatcher@aisa.org.au

PerthSEC call for speakers will close at midnight, Friday 4 September (AWST).
