Welcome to SydneySEC Call for Speakers
The Australian Information Security Association (AISA) is pleased to invite industry professionals, leaders and members to submit their application to present at NSW's leading cyber security conference, sydneySEC, being held on Friday 3 July at the Hilton Sydney. This one-day conference is run and hosted by members, for members and guests of the NSW information and cyber security community. We are now calling upon the community to share your experience and knowledge at this year’s conference by submitting a presentation proposal.
Conference Theme
AI-sa: Defending Tomorrow, Today
This isn't another AI conference. This is AI-sa
Artificial Intelligence is no longer an emerging technology sitting at the edge of our strategic conversations—it's here, it’s accelerating, and it’s reshaping the security landscape faster than most organisations can adapt. AI‑SA: Defending Tomorrow, Today exists because the industry doesn’t need another high‑level “future of AI” event. It needs a forum for people who are actually doing the work—leaders, practitioners, architects, researchers—those who understand that securing AI is now integral to securing everything else. Where many conferences skim the surface—with broad ethical discussions, regulatory updates from distant jurisdictions, or the “latest” AI headlines—we’re building something different. Something essential. Something overdue.
Who Should Present a Session?
If you’re doing meaningful work at the intersection of AI and security—if you’re building, defending, breaking, testing, or researching the systems that will define tomorrow—this is your platform. We are looking for:
- experts who aren’t afraid to go deep
- practitioners who want to teach, challenge, and elevate
- innovators who can help us collectively raise the bar in AI security
- voices who understand that safeguarding AI means safeguarding the future
Submission Process
All submissions will be reviewed by the SydneySEC program committee and will have to adhere to the same criteria we apply for all our conferences – the presentation must be vendor neutral and cannot be product focused. AISA advocates against the practice of disparaging other companies, products or services through negative naming. AISA encourages applications from individuals of all genders, ethnicities and backgrounds, especially welcoming the new voices.
During the call for speakers process, applicants will be able to select which style of presentation they wish to be considered for via a tick box. You will also be able to select a presentation theme from the topics listed. During the review process, if the SydneySEC Program Committee believes that your presentation may suit a different style or theme, they will make contact with you. Submitted applications will be reviewed by the program commitee at the conclusion of the call for speakers submission period. Notification of your submission acceptance is expected in toward the end of April 2026. If you have any questions regarding the SydneySEC call for speakers, please email kylie.hatcher@aisa.org.au
SydneySEC call for speakers will close at midnight, Friday 10 April 2026
