Welcome to BrisSEC Call for Speakers
The Australian Information Security Association (AISA) is pleased to invite industry professionals, leaders and members to submit their application to present at Queensland's leading cyber security conference, BrisSEC, being held on Wednesday, 29 April 2026 at the Star Grand Hotel, Brisbane. This one-day conference is run and hosted by members, for members and guests of the Queensland information and cyber security community. We are now calling upon the community to share your experience and knowledge at this year’s conference by submitting a presentation proposal.
Conference Theme
The race to secure the Sunshine State
BrisSec 2026 ,The race to secure the Sunshine State, recognises that cyber security is a continuous contest. We compete across technology, governance, and people, to protect, detect, and respond to threats that are always gaining speed. BrisSec 2026 will include discussions about how to face adversaries that adapt faster than control design and implementation, governance decisions made under pressure, and helping our teams, and each other, across the finish line.
Who Should Present a Session?
Whether you are a consultant, a government employee, an industry professional, a small business owner, start-up founder, an industry thought leader, a security professional, an ethical hacker, a researcher or up and coming trail blazer - we want to hear from you.
Submission Process
All submissions will be reviewed by the BrisSEC program committee and will have to adhere to the same criteria we apply for all our conferences – the presentation must be vendor neutral and cannot be product focused. AISA advocates against the practice of disparaging other companies, products or services through negative naming. AISA encourages applications from individuals of all genders, ethnicities and backgrounds, especially welcoming the new voices.
During the call for speakers process, applicants will be able to select which style of presentation they wish to be considered for via a tick box. You will also be able to select a presentation theme from the topics listed. During the review process, if the BrisSEC Program Committee believes that your presentation may suit a different style or theme, they will make contact with you. Submitted applications will be reviewed by the program commitee at the conclusion of the call for speakers submission period. Notification of your submission acceptance is expected in toward the end of February 2026. If you have any questions regarding the BrisSEC call for speakers, please email kylie.hatcher@aisa.org.au
